A Cissus Sicyoides is commonly known as Millionaire Vine, Princess Vine or Ivy Curtain

A Cissus Sicyoides is commonly known as Millionaire Vine, Princess Vine or Ivy Curtain

Alright, I stand corrected by my mother-in-law. One morning she paid us a visit and admired my garden.  She told me that that our vine is not a Buhok ni Maria vine as I have been told, it was something else and it’s on the tip of her tongue. She’s a Bio Professor in MSU GenSan, can’t argue with her about that, I’m not good in naming plants I just plant and plant them right away! As long as it’s good in the eye and helps us for shading.

Then after that I’ve been googling about the name of the vine and all I can see close enough is Spanish moss

The once I thought was Buhok ni Maria is an aerial plant and it looked like this:

My husband has been curious about the name since, so he googled the right keywords and voila! Here it is! Its name is Cissus sicyoides or commonly known as millionaire vine, princess vine or ivy curtain. It is from Vitaceae family such as grapevine and stuffs. It said to be a herbal medicine a remedy for diabetes. Just another benefit that we can get from our garden.  The Millionaire Vine tips of its roots will turn into pink after its being cut from your desired length to hang.

Marvel’s: The Avengers, Really?!

Marvel’s: The Avengers, Really?!

I watched the movie since the review is crazy and any person who had seen the movie has a high regard with it.

The Avengers is a star-studded movie. Biggest stars in the entertainment industry such as: Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johanssen as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as HawkEye, Samuel L. Jackson as Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill (Robin of How I Met Your Mother TV Series) and not to mention Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the antagonist.

I have watched some movies with a super sized casting but it seems to me that I find it boring because I expected more but only end up disappointed. I don’t watch trailers or read movie spoiler, that’s why I was surprised to see Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. So where did Edward Norton go? I got curious. Marvels: The Avenger movie might came from a comic book, but I didn’t expect it to be so comical. Like when Loki, considered as a God from a different planet with special powers just got stunned by a full fisted Hulk. It’s so hilarious I laughed my heart out! It’s a laughingstock scene!

And there goes my maybe. Maybe, Edward Norton doesn’t like the role of being a clown in the movie. I collected Edward Norton’s movies from 1990’s and up and it’s all serious movies and he’s a serious actor, no shits! After watching The Avenger, I searched for an answer and here it goes, courtesy of moviecultists.

Some would say he’s a hard-to-direct actor, a pre-madonna. But I don’t think so, he’s just a serious actor/artist who loved to make flawless movies, that’s why he’s speaking out his mind, banging out ideas whenever there’s something need to be change in a scene. So good for him on not pressing the idea of him as The Hulk in the Avengers movie and bad for the Marvels company for getting a bad reputation because they said it’s all about the money issue that’s why they didn’t get Edward for the movie.

Wedding Invitations

Wedding Invitations

At last I found them, the photos of our wedding invitations. I’ve been looking for these photos of our wedding invitations for months. I thought I’d lost it forever.

These wedding invitations were a “do-it-yourself” wedding invitations. Not your ordinary rectangular envelope, it’s a heart-shaped type of envelope. It’s a bit difficult but somehow we managed. That’s for special guests and Principal sponsors. The ticket-thingy are for friends. For people we see in day-to-day basis, who could understand that it was in a hurry. Anyway, it still looked presentable, right?

Wicker Park Movie (2004)

Wicker Park Movie (2004)

Along with the loneliness and pang of pain Matthew felt is the search for his long time ex-girlfriend to whom he had excommunicated for couple of years. The agony of pain seeking for an answer of why it ended without any valid reasons made him miserable with each detective act he played searching for the girl he knew he loved and still love. Only to realize that’s somebody’s trying to tear them apart.

This is a remake movie of L’Appartement (1996) a French film. Actually I saw the L’Appartement before Wicker Park. Single ladies would love to fall in love in the name of love if they would watch this Wicker Park Movie. Josh Hartnett portrayed the role perfectly that you would wish you were the girl in the scene and turned it into reality. That’s how I felt while I’m watching the Wicker Park Movie all over again and again! Obsessions and fighting for the love of your life is what’s the Wicker Park Movie is all about.

Hayzz.. the need to fall in love, watch this Wicker Park Movie ladies. I love you Josh Hartnett!  😀

Memento

Memento

This movie Memento sounds crazy to me. I have to watch it twice to get the idea of the movie. It started backwards, then flashbacks which is even crazier without a subtitle embedded.

Memento directed by Christopher Nolan, starred by Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby the guy who has a short term memory loss and who can’t make new memories; and Joe Pantoliano as  Teddy who was his guide/police/benefactor.

Leonard kept tattooing his body, taking photos from a polaroid camera and taking notes for important facts reminding him of what have become of his life after “the incident”. His wife was raped and somebody hit his head damaging his brain to not function normally and made him have a short term memory loss. I never thought it exists until I read it on wiki, but usually its factor is because of STD, another topic to ponder upon. Anyway, where was I… He can remember his past but after “the incident” he can’t remember anything or cannot make new memories which only made it sad because a lot of people took advantage of his weakness. They do him as a puppet but in the end, he killed the one pulling his strings.

This Memento Movie is something I could not forget easily, it’s a mind-twisting movie. Also reminds me of what’s life is really all about and thanking the Above for giving me a normal fully functional body.
